Just a quick update from the farm

Tech Company to Watch Trifecta

It’s been a heck of a start to this year here at FRESH Farm (now Trifecta Ecosystems), and for good reason.

CT Innovation Summit At the tail end of 2015, we had the twin honors of being named the Most Promising Energy, Environmental, & Green Technology Company and the #1 Green Technology Company to Watch by the Connecticut Technology Council at the CT Innovation Summit.

On top of that, we are also very grateful to win the top prize at reSET’s annual Impact Challenge awards ceremony.

We’ve been working with reSET at their Business Factory for over a year now. As graduates of their accelerator program, we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.

I’m happy to share that I’m now the Ex Officio Officer of the Board of Directors for the 2016 year! I just hope I can give back as much as reSET has given us in our time with them.

Grant Award AquaponicsWe were also very grateful to receive federal funding for our application to develop innovative vertical aquaponics farming technology. The award comes to us from the USDA and the CT Department of Agriculture

We are SO ecstatic to announce that we will are carrying out this grant in our new space!

Between these two events and our grant from the USDA and CT Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant, we were propelled into 2016 and now our growth rate is only matched by our awesome aquaponics gardens!

As we prepare our new space keep track of updates on the blog for all the action as we continue to grow throughout 2016.

All these accolades really mean one thing to us, that aquaponics is finally making it to the main stage. We might not be there quite yet. But, people are taking aquaponics more seriously and more people know about it than ever before.

2016 is going to be a great year for aquaponic farmers. I believe that aquaponics farms all over the country and globe will continue to see success.
