We’re well on our way to planning and building an urban farm in Hartford, and we couldn’t have come this far without all of your help! If you haven’t been able to join our “Let’s Build More Farms In Hartford!” workshop series yet, there’s still time to become a part of something bigger.
Be sure to join us for the 3rd FREE workshop in our series, where we’ll continue working together to discuss, plan, and build more farms in Hartford.

What’s this all about?
Within our City that Feeds Itself initiative, we’re working to build more farms in Hartford than ever before – and we need your help! As part of the Hartford Innovation Places Project and City that Feeds Itself Initiative, we’re hosting (4) FREE workshops open to the community, so we can get feedback and work together on the best way to integrate an urban farm into Hartford.
In our third workshop, we’ll be exploring the labor needs and logistics behind building an urban farm in Hartford. We’ll work together to decide:
– Where the food from our urban farm will go within the community, and how it will get there
– How to avoid waste and use methods like composting to our advantage
– What kind of labor roles we need filled and where we will source volunteers and workers
– How we can work with local nonprofits to further benefit the project
…and so much more!

Food and beverages will be provided.
Can’t make it to this workshop? We strongly encourage you to join at least one, even if you haven’t been present for other workshops. Mark your calendars for Workshop #4:
